What to gift for Easter, instead of chocolate?
Easter is just around the corner, and what better way to celebrate than by creating some beautiful laser-cut decorations and gifts? Laser cutting is an incredibly versatile technology that allows for the creation of intricate designs and shapes with a high degree of precision. In this blog post, I will share some of our Humble family traditions and how we incorporate our beautiful laser-cut decorations into our Easter Celebrations and what we give as gifts instead of chocolate!
My name is Tea, and I am the creative director and co-owner at The Humble Gift Co. I am a dedicated and compassionate mum to my five beautiful children, who are my biggest inspiration. I love creating pretty things and everlasting memories through simple little joyous pieces.
Our Easter Tradition
For over 10 years now, we have followed our own Easter Tradition. Due to our oldest suffering from multiple food intolerances as a little girl, chocolate and other Easter treats weren’t on our list of things to have.
We quickly adapted and formed our own Easter Treasure Hunt with a handful of fun clues hidden around the house for the children to find. As the years have passed, our tradition has remained. While there are now some chocolate and hot cross buns involved in our Easter celebrations, each year, the children also get a new pair of winter pyjamas and a book to read.
Here at The Humble Gift Co., we know how special it is to receive a gift made just for you. Our personalised Little Leaf Bunny Tags are an adorable addition to any Easter basket that can be used again and again year after year. We also have new Alphabet Tags and other name tags that can serve the purpose for Easter but also around the year.
Easter Gifts and Activities
Some other newly released Easter Activities including our Easter Memory Game made from egg shaped engraved wooden discs with original Easter Pictures to match together, Paint your Own Easter Eggs as well as our new Easter Tic Tac Toe!
In the lead-up to Easter, we like to decorate the house with a touch of pretty pastels and earthy tones. We often collect a bunch of branches and decorate them with some cute laser ornaments and colourful easter eggs. We place the branches in a vase and have it as a centrepiece on our dining table. This is a fun activity to involve the children in. Sometimes we even spray paint the branches to suit the colour of our décor.
The night before Easter Sunday, we leave a little tray out for the Easter Bunny with a carrot and a drink. These trays can be found on our website in the next week or so.
We also have the cutest little Bunny Footprint Stencils to help create some magic.
There is nothing better than seeing the pure excitement on your children’s faces when they wake up and see that the Easter Bunny has hopped through the house while they are sleeping.
While our family Easter is more Easter Bunny-focused, here at The Humble Gift Co., we acknowledge and respect that it is an important time of celebration in Christianity and anyone who would like something created for their Family Easter, we are here to help. We are passionate about bringing your visions to life. The core focus of our small business is to be able to help create your ideas into real pieces of décor that will fill your home with love.
